It is weird, but all of the tribes you should be aiming for the leader anyway, since early game fighting against Norsca is such a drag, and once you defeat the leader in battle, you confederate them. Is that it feels wrong when at turn ~80 empire and kislev start asking you trade agreements because you spent all the game fighting chaos and dark elves. ![]() Originally posted by Delirio:I can cheese my way through, but that is hardly the point. Pact with Trogg and let him have all the headaches of dealing with Kislev. Didn't explore more east or south and went north to make money and build relations with Malus. In my game, I took the western tribe by default, the one just east of me that I forget the name of, and then Varg. In short, if you want to try something different, try to avoid uncovering potential enemy factions, and settle with a core group of home provinces you can defend and keep out of harms way. You can mitigate this by leaving southern tribes like Skaeling, I think, free to do their thing and don't confederate them, and also don't uncover/explore northern empire. ![]() Only problem with the do what you want part is it usually involves being dragged into a long war with Empire and Kislev just by default. ![]() The tribes are supposed to be a problem, though, because their mechanic involves defeating the leader to confederate them, and once that's done, then you're free to do what you want. Didn't have Belakor, Azazel or Trogg being a problem either. Other than the random tribe, only Sigvald declared war on me, and I gave all that land to Malus to get some Shades.
